Three RTOs

In 2007 Distance Learning Australia teamed with three RTOs, WEA Illawarra, WEA Sydney and WEA Hunter with a view to exploring new technologies to add to existing knowledge.

The geographical locations are Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra. The aim of the project was to develop and enhance e-learning opportunities in these locations.

This involved research and exploration into various Virtual Classrooms such as Discover-E, Eluminate and Adobe Connect. We also explored various Web 2.0 technologies and new innovations into virtual worlds, such as Second Life.

This resulted in a greater awareness of e-learning possibilities for the organisations and promoted a sense of increased value and enthusiasm for the opportunities e-learning presents in education.
